Vulcano is a round woven bed, 35 cm across and around 13 to 15 cm high, weighing 640 grams. It is the lightest thing we sell, and that is most of its appeal.
Cats sleep where the light is, and the light moves through the day. A bed you can pick up with one hand goes to the window in the morning and back beside the sofa in the evening — which is a different proposition from furniture that lives in one corner.
Two separate soft pieces are supplied. Cats arrange their own bedding: some flatten everything out, some push the pillow into a corner and sleep against it. Having two loose pieces rather than one sewn-in base lets that happen.
The base is a tight cotton-rope weave with cotton covering and plush cotton padding. It holds its shape without a rigid frame, so nothing inside can dig into a sleeping cat.

Put it where your cat already likes to be — a sunny corner, or the room the household uses most — and leave it there rather than presenting it. A little catnip helps on anything meant to be scratched or slept on.
