Cat Tree Acqui

114 cm of rubber wood and beech, on a 59 × 47 cm base — a frame cut from real timber rather than covered board, left visible instead of wrapped in fabric.

Three open levels: a top perch with a removable fleece mat, and two 39 × 36 cm platforms below it. A rope-wrapped post and a 42 × 15 cm board give two scratching angles, upright and flat. Each platform is rated to 20 kg.

Description

Acqui is built from rubber wood and beech — solid timber, not particleboard under a plush wrap. The frame stays visible, and the only soft surface is the mat on the top perch. At 114 cm it is a mid-height tower rather than a full-height one, on a 59 × 47 cm base.

Three open levels, no hiding places

A top perch, then two jumping platforms of roughly 39 × 36 cm each, staggered so a cat steps from one to the next rather than jumping straight up. There is no condo and no enclosed cave on this model: Acqui suits a cat that watches the room from a height, not one that wants to disappear into a box. Each platform carries a stated limit of 20 kg, which is generous for a single cat and leaves room for two on different levels.

Two scratching angles

A wrapped vertical post for stretching upright, and a separate 42 × 15 cm board for flat scratching. Cats tend to have a preference, and having both means the tower covers either. The post is wrapped in paper rope rather than sisal — expect it to wear faster.

The top mat comes off

It is polar fleece over PP cotton filling, held by hook-and-loop fasteners, so it lifts away in one movement. We would not put it in a machine without testing; the wooden surfaces themselves wipe down with a damp cloth. Panel corners are rounded.

Weight and stability

The assembled tower weighs 13 kg, most of it in the timber base — that mass is what holds a 114 cm frame steady when a cat lands on the top perch from the side. Placement against a wall is worth thinking about even though the base is wide.

Cat Tree Acqui — shown at home with cats

What a cat does with it

Climb it. Look down from somewhere high. Scratch something that doesn't matter. Then fall asleep on it. A tree earns its floor space by covering all four — which is why the height, the platforms and the posts decide far more than the colour does.

Where it will stand

114 cm on a 59 × 47 cm base

That is the floor it needs. Measure your own before you order rather than after it arrives. A tree is a lookout first and furniture second, so it earns its place in the room where the household spends its evenings, not in a spare one.

Measured, then published

No size brackets, no “XXL” standing in for a figure: the cat tree with its dimensions drawn on it, so you can check it against your room instead of trusting a photograph.

Why choose Cat Palace

Because your cat deserves better than a generic tower — and so does your living room.

Designed around how cats behave

Height to climb, somewhere to scratch, a lookout over the room — every piece answers a real feline habit rather than a decorating trend.

Facts before adjectives

Height and footprint in centimetres, the weight limit in kilos where it is known — never “sturdy” or “spacious” in their place.

Frequently asked questions

Is it stable enough for a big cat?

Stability comes from the base, not from the height. Compare the base dimensions with the overall height in the specifications: a wide base under a tall frame is what stops a tower rocking when a cat lands on the top platform from the side. Where an anti-tip strap is included it is listed under Care & assembly, and above about a metre and a half we would fit it even when the base feels solid on its own.

Where should I put it?

Near a window, against a wall, in the room where people actually sit. Cats climb in order to watch, so a tower facing a blank corner gets ignored while the same tower by a window is used every day. Keep it away from the litter tray and the food bowls — cats separate those places from where they sleep.

My cat ignores it and keeps scratching the sofa. What now?

Move it next to the thing being scratched rather than to a tidy corner. Cats scratch along the routes they already use, not where we would prefer them to. Rub the posts with catnip for the first week and put a blanket that smells of the household on the lowest platform. Most refusals turn out to be a placement problem rather than a product one.

Will my cat actually use it?

Cats accept new things on their own timetable. Put it where your cat already chooses to be — the sunny corner, the room the household uses most — and leave it alone for a few days rather than presenting it. A little catnip helps on anything meant to be slept on or scratched. Anything worn or handled should be left out to be sniffed and walked away from several times before you use it.

What if it does not suit my cat?

You have 30 days from delivery to send it back. Returns are free and the refund goes to the payment method you used. You do not need to give a reason.
