Pienza is the compact camera feeder: 24 cm high, 17 cm wide, with a 2 litre hopper. Most feeders with a camera are floor-standing boxes; this one fits on a shelf or a worktop, which changes where you can put it — and a camera is more useful at cat height than at ankle height.
Scheduled feeding, plus dispensing on demand and a live view of the bowl. Unlike the two-version models we stock, there is no button-only variant: the app is the interface.
The genuine value is not watching your cat for entertainment — it is seeing that the food came out, and that the cat came to it. A jam or an empty hopper while you are away is exactly the failure a camera catches on the first meal instead of the third.
Enough for several days of ordinary feeding for one cat. It is a compact machine, not a holiday machine — for a longer absence, a 4 or 5 litre hopper makes more sense.

It depends on the model, and it is worth settling before you rely on one for a weekend away. Anything that runs on batteries keeps its schedule when the mains goes down; anything that only takes a USB supply stops until power returns. The Specifications panel says which applies here.
The bowl daily, the hopper or reservoir weekly. Dry food leaves an oily film that turns rancid, and standing water grows a biofilm you can feel before you can see it — that slippery coating is the usual reason a cat suddenly stops drinking from a bowl it used yesterday.
Only if you use it to split the ration. The thing that actually slows a cat down is turning two large meals into four or five small ones, which a timed feeder makes practical. A machine that drops a single big portion into a bowl changes nothing on its own.
Cats accept new things on their own timetable. Put it where your cat already chooses to be — the sunny corner, the room the household uses most — and leave it alone for a few days rather than presenting it. A little catnip helps on anything meant to be slept on or scratched. Anything worn or handled should be left out to be sniffed and walked away from several times before you use it.
