Bolgheri exists in two versions that behave quite differently, in black or white. Choose above; the difference matters more than the colour.
An LCD screen and physical buttons on the front. You set the times and the portions on the machine itself and walk away. It runs on batteries, which means it keeps feeding through a power cut and can sit anywhere in the house regardless of where the sockets are. Batteries are not included.
Feeding is scheduled and triggered from your phone, which is what you want if you are regularly away for a day. Two things to know before choosing it: it must remain connected to a USB power supply rather than run on batteries, and it works on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only — 5 GHz networks are not supported. If your router broadcasts a single combined band, you may need to split it.
Timed feeding on both versions. Treat it as an approximate ceiling rather than a precise dose.
It is a scheduled dispenser, not a slow feeder: nothing in it restricts how fast a cat eats a released portion.

It depends on the model, and it is worth settling before you rely on one for a weekend away. Anything that runs on batteries keeps its schedule when the mains goes down; anything that only takes a USB supply stops until power returns. The Specifications panel says which applies here.
The bowl daily, the hopper or reservoir weekly. Dry food leaves an oily film that turns rancid, and standing water grows a biofilm you can feel before you can see it — that slippery coating is the usual reason a cat suddenly stops drinking from a bowl it used yesterday.
Only if you use it to split the ration. The thing that actually slows a cat down is turning two large meals into four or five small ones, which a timed feeder makes practical. A machine that drops a single big portion into a bowl changes nothing on its own.
Cats accept new things on their own timetable. Put it where your cat already chooses to be — the sunny corner, the room the household uses most — and leave it alone for a few days rather than presenting it. A little catnip helps on anything meant to be slept on or scratched. Anything worn or handled should be left out to be sniffed and walked away from several times before you use it.
