Fermo is a brush with a small reservoir and a spray outlet in the head. Press the button as you brush and the coat is misted at the same moment.
That is the practical effect. Brushing a dry cat sends loose undercoat into the air and onto everything in the room; a light mist makes the hair clump on the brush instead. For anyone grooming indoors, it is the difference between one job and two.
The brush head is mounted to flex rather than sit rigid, so it stays in contact around the ribs and shoulders instead of skating over the curves. Bristle tips are rounded.
It rotates to change the angle of attack and folds flat for a drawer or a bag.
It sprays a light mist; nothing about it involves heat or steam. If you are looking for heat, this is not that product. As a mist brush it does the job well.

Start at the cheeks and along the spine, which most cats accept, and leave the belly and the back legs until much later. A cat that has never been groomed will not sit through ten minutes on the first day.

Cats accept new things on their own timetable. Put it where your cat already chooses to be — the sunny corner, the room the household uses most — and leave it alone for a few days rather than presenting it. A little catnip helps on anything meant to be slept on or scratched. Anything worn or handled should be left out to be sniffed and walked away from several times before you use it.
