Bosa is a sisal scratching pad, 55 × 33 cm, made to hang on a wall or the side of a piece of furniture rather than stand on the floor.
Cats scratch upright to stretch their whole body, and a floor-standing post is the usual way to allow it — at the cost of a base taking up floor. A pad on the wall gives the same stretch and takes nothing. In a small flat, or beside the one piece of furniture your cat has already chosen, it is the practical answer.
That is the whole trick with wall pads. A cat that has picked the corner of the sofa is telling you where it wants to scratch; a pad fixed at that exact spot gets used, one fixed across the room does not.
The two options differ only in outline — both measure 55 × 33 cm. Choose on what suits the wall.
Striped, hanging, at floor level. It gives a cat a reason to approach the pad in the first place, which matters on something that is otherwise just a panel on a wall.
The pad attaches to a wall or furniture but provides neither the hardware nor an installation method. Plan on buying screws and plugs suited to your wall — and remember the pad will take a cat's full weight pulling downwards, so plasterboard alone is not enough.

Because the sofa is on the route it uses and the scratcher is not. Cats scratch to stretch and to leave a mark where they pass, so put this against the corner being damaged rather than across the room. Once it has been used for a week or two you can move it a little at a time.
Watch what it does to the furniture. A cat that reaches up the side of an armchair wants something vertical it can stretch against at full length; a cat that rakes the rug or the carpet wants something flat on the floor. Choosing the wrong orientation is the commonest reason a scratcher is never touched.
Months to years, depending on the cat. Sisal is meant to shred — a frayed post is a used post, not a broken one. Trim loose strands with scissors rather than pulling them, which unwinds the whole wrap.
Cats accept new things on their own timetable. Put it where your cat already chooses to be — the sunny corner, the room the household uses most — and leave it alone for a few days rather than presenting it. A little catnip helps on anything meant to be slept on or scratched. Anything worn or handled should be left out to be sniffed and walked away from several times before you use it.
