Tuscania is a Bluetooth 4.0 tag. It is not a GPS tracker, it has no cellular connection, and it cannot show you a live position on a map. Here is what it does and does not do.
Within Bluetooth range, the app can make the tag ring — which is how you find a collar that has come off behind the sofa, or a cat that is asleep somewhere in the flat and not answering. The tag can also make your phone ring, which is the same trick in reverse. And the app records the last place the phone and tag were connected, so you have a starting point rather than nothing.
Once the cat is beyond Bluetooth range, the tag is silent. Its effective range is around 25 m. There is no community network behind it, so a lost cat two streets away will not be found by this device. If that is what you need, this is not the product.
That is the figure that matters on a cat. A tag is only useful if the animal will actually wear it, and 30 g on a collar is noticeable — reasonable for an adult cat, too much for a kitten or a small adult. Weigh the tag against your cat rather than against your expectations.
A CR2032 coin cell, replaceable rather than sealed in. That means the tag outlives its first battery — unlike sealed rechargeable tags that become disposable.
On an outdoor cat in British weather, that is a real limitation.

Around 25 metres in the open, and less through walls. That makes it useful for finding a cat asleep somewhere in the house or the garden, and no use at all for finding one that has gone three streets away.
Only on a quick-release collar, and not in the rain — it is not waterproof. If your real worry is a cat that roams, a Bluetooth tag is the wrong tool for the job.
Cats accept new things on their own timetable. Put it where your cat already chooses to be — the sunny corner, the room the household uses most — and leave it alone for a few days rather than presenting it. A little catnip helps on anything meant to be slept on or scratched. Anything worn or handled should be left out to be sniffed and walked away from several times before you use it.
